This is flat out the best pasta I have ever tasted. Made with rice and corn flour this handmade recipe leaves the pasta “al dente”, something which is vastly lacking in most high street branded pastas! I tried the Gnocchetti Sardi and the Paccheri and I have been converted. This is where I will be buying my pasta from now on! As a half Italian, pasta is very important for me and I really struggle to find a gluten free pasta which tastes like the real deal. This for me hit the nail on the head.
I opened my delivery to see the fantastically well presented pasta and got very excited! How pretty is the design!! It was also nice to see new pasta shapes for once – aren’t you fed up of fusilli too?! Just because you are gluten free doesn’t mean you are boring…
At £5 a bag, this pasta is very reasonably priced for its gourmet taste and having subscribed to the emails and followed Mamma Flora on Insta, I see a lot of offers pop up! Love a good offer.
Mamma Flora is named after Maria’s mother, (Maria is the Founder of Mamma Flora) and her website is filled with beautiful fresh and authentic family recipes, which I love. I cannot wait to try them all out but my favourite is Spaghetti con le vongole (a signature Amalfi dish) – big fan of seafood! Other than the fact that I see food and eat it….sorry bad joke!
Mamma Flora recommends to cook the pasta you follow the instructions below:
“Instructions: For an “al dente” cooking put the pasta in enough boiling water with salt for 10-12 min, drain and mix it with your MAMMA FLORA sauce.”
I cannot wait to try some of the pasta with the Mamma Flora sauce which I will definitely be ordering soon – so many lovely flavours to chose from! MMMMM pumpkin pesto…I cannot wait to try it! I am also very tempted by the Gluten Free Christmas Boxes – it is never too early – one for me one for a Christmas present?
