Free From Baker

I was beyond excited to receive the Free From Baker’s Lockdown box of treats. After having watched his boxes sell out after minutes on Instagram, I was intrigued!

A beautifully presented box arrived on my doorstep within about 2 days of dispatch – so speedy!

The box is small enough to fit through the letter box but filled to the brim with different naughty treats. Perfect for the lockdown blues! The box comes with a full ingredient list to ease your mind, which I personally love and is packed so well to avoid breaks and crumbling.

Opening up this Pandora’s box I found brownies, blondies (a blonde version of a brownie, if you didn’t know), cake pops and a millionaire. Every gluten free girl’s dream! No, no they did not last very long!

The brownies were great, the perfect consistency of crumbly exterior to gooey inside, with a creme egg delicately placed on top (love a creme egg) however I do have  to say that the blondies and cake pops were my absolute fave! I am definitely going to order more as soon as I can! Yep, lockdown dieting going well over here!

The blondies were mini egg flavour, and mini eggs work so so well with the delicate brownie texture of a blondie. I could have eaten a whole pack of these very very easily. So so tasty!

The cake pops came in two different flavours: rocky road (my partner’s personal fave – he loved these) and the mini egg cookie dough cake pop (my personal fave – can not get enough of those mini eggs). The cake pops were fab – a hard chocolate exterior meets a delicate and moreish inside flavour! Love it! I can’t remember how long it has been since I was able to eat anything remotely cookie dough!

Finally the millionaire brownie was divine. Absolutely perfect. So delicately fudgy with a brownie like texture to the base. So good.

I honestly think that these lockdown boxes are a great mood booster during this time (chocolate boosts everyone’s mood right?!) and would make the perfect present for someone. The Free From Baker also makes cakes for occasions (definitely considering this for the future)! Gluten free, diary free and vegan options!!

I definitely recommend the Free From Baker, he was so lovely, quick to respond and passionate about what he does! Keep an eye out on Insta and his website for his flavour of the week – at the moment it’s raspberry blondies! MMMMM MMMM MMMM.
