Gluten Free Awareness Week

I have to admit that I really was not bowled over this year by the deals for Gluten Free Awareness Week. What is usually a week to grab as many cheap gluten free items as you can…was in reality a little disappointing. Perhaps because fad gluten free diets are not so much a thing anymore? This seems a real shame for those such as myself, allergic to wheat and gluten, who have to buy expensive items day in day out. Nevertheless looking on the bright side of life as a gluten free person I found these deals:
Waitrose: Buy 2 get 2nd item half price (cheaper item is the free one – note this)! They also had 25% off or more on a lot of their fresh and frozen gluten free meals.
Ocado: From browsing the website I can see that they have a lot of save 25% and money off deals.
Tesco: 3 for 2 on their own branded gluten free products!
Sainsburys: From what I could see they only had the occasional save 50p on items.
Lidl:I don’t have a Lidl by me to go into store but from what I have read they have launched a new line of gluten free products which are cheap anyway – £1 for biscuits and £1.50 for cereal. They also have a catchy slogan “the wheat is over, our gluten free range is here” – always appreciated.
Aldi: Again I did not manage to venture to the nearest Aldi this week but I know that their gluten free products tend to be cheaper anyway…which is obviously a positive and that they have gluten free special deals throughout the week on certain items.
Marks and Spencer: 25% made without wheat with your Sparks Card.
