I had almost resigned myself to watching others chomping away on Christmas Market food and smelling the delicious scents as I walked home from work each day, not being able to eat a thing. Turns out, this year, I could eat ALMOST EVERYTHING. There were gluten free signs here there and everywhere, it got to the point where I honestly could not choose where to eat! What a situation to be in!!!
I tried out 4 this time – and I’ll pop them in order of preference, finishing with my absolute fave!
Paella – I did thoroughly enjoy this one but didn’t feel that there was anything all that special about it. It was a simple paella. The chicken was great but I wasn’t too fond on the chorizo – a bit plasticy for my taste.
La Tartiflette – This was great I enjoyed the garlic mushrooms and the potatoes with the bacon. A real authentic french flavour – it was delicious and I was absolutely stuffed – I did order a large portion of each – eyes bigger than my stomach!
Pakora Mix – this was amazing!! This was served with chaat masala and chutney, mix veg, ajwain, kale, cumin and Christmas pakora.
The duck salad – OMG insane. This was so so so good. My fave. This is duck served with a salad and a sweet chilli sauce (to make it gluten free). The duck was perfectly cooked and melt in the mouth.

I was so pleasantly surprised by the gluten free availability, the awareness of allergies and the choice! What a treat! Can’t wait for it to open again!!!
On a little side note, I was very disappointed with the choice at Winter Wonderland although the one place I did find that was gluten free was amazing! Halloumi fries!!!!!!! Mmmmm.
